The concept of this piece was to generate laughter and joy (with a bit of the sixties thrown in). Even though the sixties has expired, the bones of the peace movement can still be found in many who lived during this period. There is a little "hippie" in many of us older folks. I know it still resides in me.
Near the end of the sixties there was a group of us who were called The Wilson Park Hippies by the Flint Journal (our local newspaper). There was a core group of us who were joined by students after school and others who visited on the weekend. We were standing up for something we believed deeply in peace, love and tranquility.
Mr Hairy Bones represents the best of this time.
And from me to you all
